Jeremiah’s Grotto

Jeremiah’s Grotto: Where do we start? I suppose in Gainesville, FL. We would play for every church youth group group we could find. Completely clueless about shows, touring, making CD’s. I don’t think we thought it would go past putting together some junky little tape of us playing live and giving those out for donations. Wow…what a ride we were in for.

We made an early album called “Exemplar”. Mostly a glorified E.P., but it had some weight to it with a few good songs peaking out. Screaming Giant Records released that one in I think 1999, maybe 1998. We started to put together tours, and were blessed with the opportunities to see a lot of awesome places across the country, and meet some very wonderful people along the way.

Our next album was ” Through it All”. This record brought about a lot of change for us in style, direction and focus. This album was released three separate times on three separate labels. It went from Screaming Giant Records to Vindicated Records, and finally we found a good home with Future Destination Records. They put this disc out with a previously unreleased E.P. called “The Million Miles E.P. as a special addition double disc. FD Records, by the way, happen to be one of the truly honest and straight forward labels out there.

This is when we got very serious. Loads of touring all over the country, lots of work, non-stop. We spent a few winters up north in the snow. After that we took a break. We needed more family time, more time to recover. We wouldn’t trade this for the world though.

So here we are. About a million miles later, countless shows, countless friends, and almost ten years from when we started, we find ourselves still passionate about our music and what we have left to do.

For anyone and everyone who ever booked a show for us, gave us a meal, bought a CD or shirt, cheered at a show, cried at a show, said a kind word, sent us mail, gave their support, prayed for us, prayed with us, told a friend about us, or let us help them in any way…..Thank you so much. There is nothing we could ever put into words that would ever express our gratitude for what you have done for us.

We still have miles in us. We’re not done yet. Your support means the world.

God bless,
