Artist: Farewell to Fashion & Inez
Title: The Price of Fame – Split E.P.
Catalog #: FDR 002
Release Date: April 1, 2002
Matthew’s Notes: This was the second release for the label and it came out in March 2002. I had no intentions of making this label a serious label. Before I ever had a release, I had stickers and shirts made. Neutral Agreement had a show in Charleston, WV, with Jeremiah’s Grotto from Florida in August 2001 and I remember it was the day before I left for my first year of college.
Chris Siegle of Jeremiah’s Grotto had picked up a sticker at the show and sent me an e-mail in February of that year asking if I wanted to put out his new band, Farewell to Fashion’s CD. Before I ever heard it I said yes and a few days later he said it would be with a band called Inez from North Carolina. I didn’t get to hear the CD until the day I sent it to the pressing plant. Inez broke up shortly after the CD came out because the singer ended up becoming a professional model for Abercrombie and Fitch.
This release sold out at 1100 copies. It is only available as a digital release from the FDR Shop and as of September 2009 it has also been re-released on iTunes with bonus tracks.
