Matthew’s Notes: Just before recording this album, we had lost our drummer and our rhythm guitarist/vocalist. We found a new drummer and within a few months of him being in the band, we went to record what was supposed to be an E.P., but just before we went in the studio we wrote 3-4 songs in a week and pushed it to a full-length.
We recorded this album in just four days with Russ Fox. This was a super exciting time for me as I was really proud of how far we had come since the line-up changes. We also shot a video with famed producer Shane C. Drake (Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco, Paramore, etc.) for the first track “Silicone and Confidence.”
We flew Shane and his wife in from L.A. to shoot the video and it was amazing. The video got a lot of airtime on TVU as well as a few appearances on MTV2 and Fuse.
