Matthew’s Notes: I had known a few guys in the band for many years. Josh and Caleb were in a band called Joey’s Loss. When Neutral Agreement played with them, we always had a blast. I had been thinking of signing THSFT for about a year, but the time never felt right.
That summer, I was on tour with The Story Changes and I heard them play the song “Zoltar” at a show and that is when I knew the time was right. They just so happened to be recording in a few weeks and I put out their debut full-length. The CD is almost an hour long and has some great alt-country tunes.
I remember the first time I heard this was after one of my best friend’s (Pat Stewart) wedding. I came home from the wedding and it was waiting for me in the mailbox. I feel in love instantly with the album. “Appalachia” was a huge hit off the record.
